GEORGE GLADYS: (1904-1954) American actress, remembered for her portrayal of Iva Archer in The Maltese Falcon (1941). A scarce vintage signed and inscribed sepia 7.5 x 9.5 photograph of the actress in a smiling semi-profile pose, gently resting her chin on one hand. Signed in bold black fountain pen ink to a light area of the image and dated 1935 in her hand. Signed photographs of George are scarce as a result of her untimely death at the age of 50. VG
