HOLST GUSTAV: (1874-1934) English composer. Best known for his orchestral suite The Planets. An excellent A.M.Q.S., ('Gustav Holst'), to a 4.5 x 3.5 card, dated in his hand 31st december 1929, on the printed stationery of the St. Paul´s girls School, Brook Green, Hammersmith. holst has cleanly and carefully penned a three bars of music, adding the lyrics beneath `Coates´a master hear ye all! (as said before!)´. Further, Holst adds an amusing comment `Unfortunately not by me´ Postmarked, stamped and addressed to the verso, to John Coates in Northwood, in Holst´s hand. VG
